Identificação e avaliação de patologias na estrutura do Trapiche Eliezer Levy no município de Macapá-AP

Abstract

Reinforced concrete structures are widely used as a constructive solution due to their resistance and durability characteristics over time. However, it is extremely important to maintain these structures to ensure their conservation against aggressive agents to which they are exposed throughout their useful life. Thus, this work sought to identify and evaluate the pathological manifestations existing in the Eliezer Levy Wharf, located on the banks of the Amazon river, in the municipality of Macapá-AP. The study was divided into three stages that included visual inspection with photographic record, non-destructive tests of carbonation and sclerometry performed on beams, pillars, and slabs. The results pointed to the occurrence of carbonation advance in the structure as well as the low resistance of its structural elements, in addition to other pathological manifestations such as cracks and infiltrations. These aspects indicate the absence of preventive and corrective maintenance in the structure and the need for intervention to ensure the durability and conservation of the building.
