Reflexões sobre o ensino da arte em turmas de 1º e 2º ano do ensino fundamental

Abstract

This work began with the aim of understanding the importance and how to work the teaching of art with children from the 1st and 2nd year of elementary school. The work started from bibliographic readings with several authors such as: Micklethwait (1994), Santos (2008), Morin (2013), Coll; among other authors who show us the appreciation of teaching through art. A research was carried outwith a qualitative approach, with an exploratory data collection based on a socio- demographic questionnaire with respectively seven subjective and objective questions, including as participants, three educators from the initial years of the 1st and 2nd year of elementary school in a public school. in the urban area of the municipality of Oiapoque. After the data collection, the answers of the questionnaires were analyzed and identified that the educators are working in a possible way to the students' learning. It was also found that, despite the obligation conferred by law for the teaching of Art, it still does not have the due importance, so it will be necessary toinvolve teachers in training courses and qualification of teachers who work with the area in elementary school. It appears that the mandatory nature of this teaching is not enough to guarantee the quality of work with this subject in the school curriculum.
