Abstract

This research presents structured cabling in local area networks for computer labs as the subject of study. The purpose of this research was to describe structured cabling in local area networks aimed at computer labs. We sought to achieve the following specific objectives: Specify which are the structured cabling; report how to structure a computer lab. A subject that has been seen, as a solution for the technology area of organizations, electrical engineering as responsible for the execution of this type of work. The purpose of this research was to investigate the theory addressed in the practice of informatics in search of current technological knowledge. For the development of this study, a bibliographic focus review was initially carried out, taking as reference the survey carried out through documentary data to describe theories that address the main advantages of this technology in search of interaction between the various authors and to value the collective construction of knowledge. The raised bibliography served as a basis for the research in question, which aimed to contribute to higher education in informatics today. This research was carried out in the 1st academic semester of 2023. The work provided the researcher with greater knowledge of the researched topic. The result found was that structured cabling presents an infrastructure of great relevance for the local network in computer labs and grants it to be fluid, making future expansions and modifications without difficulty in the organization and planning so that a connection can be established facilitated in use. phone and internet.
