O empreendedorismo sustentável: soluções para a sustentabilidade do açaí no município de Laranjal do Jari – AP

Abstract

The objective of this work was to diagnose the açaí production chain and characterize the socio-economics of the açaí beaters in the municipality. The present study was carried out in the municipality of Laranjal do Jari, which is located 320 kilometers from the capital and access is via the so-called southern axis of BR-156, where information for the socioeconomic characterization of açaí beaters was obtained through research with an applied nature. Data collection was based on semi-structured interviews combining open and closed questions with the target audience being traders and owners of “mixer” commercial establishments, covering the economic, environmental and social aspects of the açaí marketing system in the municipality. The georeferencing of açaí mixers was carried out during the months of April to May 2024. The distribution of açaí mixers is quite dispersed in the municipality, we identified 78 açaí wine production points, distributed in all neighborhoods of the municipality, being identified by “red signs with white letters". In addition, 8 (eight) extractive families were identified who have native forest with Euterpe management Oleácea Mart., this way it was possible to identify how the açaí production chain works and its main challenges. Commercial scouts/traders in the açaí production chain in Laranjal do Jari. preparation or training to exercise the activity in the churns, aimed at a predominant activity for the population of this municipality and having socioeconomic importance, it is necessary to provide technical support with the açaí churns, through guidance and lectures, to make them aware of the environmental risks and the need for hygiene in their commercial establishments.
